We have developed a new instrument for the study of low-temperature ice growth/sublimation rates and habit development. In the new design we have incorporated several improvements over previously used devices. The new design will speed up data-taking, improve data quality and reproducibility, and increase the temperature, pressure and humidity stability of the experimental chamber.

The Laucks Foundation is a non profit educational organization founded in 1969, with a mandate to foster environmental responsibility and to promote a better understanding of human impact on the environment. The organization has funded a variety of initiatives: research on sustainable agriculture, humanitarian aid, assisting and educating the homeless, protection of human rights, and educational efforts to resolve conflicts and promote world peace.

Laucks Foundation Research is a unit of Laucks Foundation formed to conduct laboratory-based research to provide new data and improved computer models to improve our understanding of atmospheric processes. A major focus of Laucks Foundation Research is to reduce the uncertainties in our current understanding of natural climate variability and human impact on climate. With these efforts our goal is to assist policy makers with accurate prediction of the expected change in climate in the coming decades. Read more about our research.
